Contract
vinyl fabrics
The Naugahyde name encompasses more than 40 ranges of supple and leather-like
vinyl fabrics which are UV stabilised, abrasion-resistant, stain-resistant
and waterproof, with a high tear strength. Highly suitable for environments
with strict hygiene requirements, the fabrics contain antibacterial
and anti-fungal agents, and are simple to clean and disinfect. |
Applications
Naugahyde fabrics are used for upholstery and trims in a wide variety
of settings. Applications include contract furniture (offices and retail
outlets), hospitality (hotels, motels, restaurants and cafes), healthcare
(hospitals, doctors’ surgeries and dental clinics), transportation
(truck and car seating,
bus stations, ferry terminals and airports), and marine (seating and
dashboards in power-boats, yachts
and ocean-going cruise liners). |

patterns. NaugaLeather™ has the subtlecolours of natural hide,
whilst Universal and All-American™ also come in bright blues,
greens, reds and yellows. The NaugaTek™ range gives a choice of
12 pearlised shades, and Zodiac offers a shiny finish with a glitter
effect. Patterned ranges – such as Southampton, Oakwood, Verona
and Jigsaw – have floral, geometrical and abstract patterns in
a variety of colourways. Custom colours are available on request, and
all Naugahyde products are finished with the Beauty®Gard protective
top coat. |
Dimensions
Naugahyde products are supplied in 54" wide rolls, 27.5m long.
The products can also be provided in bespoke dimensions to suit specific
applications.
Technical
data
Naugahyde products are exceptionally hard-wearing, exceeding the industry-accepted
Wyzenbeek test standard for abrasion. The vinyls have an Abrasion #
8 Cotton Duck value of 250,000, and in the case of NaugaLeather™
and Nauga Soft, the values are 500,000 and 1,000,000. This test indicates
how many times the fabric can be rubbed without showing signs of wearing
through to the fabric backing. The fabrics retain their suppleness even
in cold weather, with a cold crack temperature of -20°C. They are
manufactured to meet small-scale flammability, Crib Source 5 and 7.

Installation
and maintenance
Naugahyde products are waterproof and wipe-clean, and can safely be
disinfected with products containing sodium hypochlorite (common household
bleach) diluted 1:10.
